RDIMMs buffer the address, control, and clock signals via on-board registers and a phase-lock loop (PLL). The logic buffer of the register and the PLL ensure the RDIMM’s reliability, even with demanding memory usage, making RDIMMs the designer’s choice for high-end servers and network switches.
