2007

Micron wins Most Innovative DRAM 2007 Insight Award
Micron’s ground-breaking, 1Gb DDR3 has earned the prestigious 2007 Insight Award for Most Innovative DRAM. Micron’s proprietary 6F2 technology and established 78nm process, which together help Micron produce the industry’s smallest DDR3 dies, were a key factor in award selection. Each year, Semiconductor Insights, a recognized leader in device analysis, reviews thousands of new designs and awards the most innovative.

Micron Awarded Nortel Quality and Service Technology Supplier Award
In April during the 11th annual Nortel Supplier Forum in Beijing, Micron was the winner of the 2006 Nortel Quality and Service Technology Supplier Award. The annual awards program acknowledges suppliers whose contributions continually drive success and improve productivity.

IEEE Spectrum ranks Micron as having the world's most powerful patent portfolio
In November, Micron beat out thousands of organizations to stake a claim to having the world's most powerful patent pipeline in IEEE Spectrum's first annual patent survey.

Micron's 8-Megapixel Image Sensor Wins Stoel Rives Idaho Innovation Award
September - During the first annual Stoel Rives Idaho Innovation Awards program, Micron's 8-Megapixel Image Sensor was the overall winner in the Imaging / Optical Technology category. The awards program recognizes top Idaho inventions through eight diverse categories. More >>>

Insight Award for Micron's 512Mb Mobile DRAM
June - Every year Semiconductor Insights (SI) analyzes thousands of designs as a leading advisor in the microelectronics community. SI recently honored Micron with the 2006 Insight Award. This prestigious accolade is for Micron's 95nm 512Mb 6F2 Mobile SDRAM featuring Endur-IC™ technology (MT46H32M16).

Micron® Paper Garners Prestigious IEEE Award for Innovation
June 2005 - The IEEE awarded Micron the prestigious Walter Kosonocky Award for the Micron white paper entitled "A 2e Noise 1.3 Megapixel CMOS Sensor." The award, given every two years for the best paper representing significant advancements in solid-state image sensors, commemorates the contributions made to the field by the late Dr. Walter Kosonocky.

    November 2004 - Cisco Systems, Inc. awarded Micron the "Excellence in Value for Technology and Services" Award for 2004 based on the overall value Micron provides to Cisco. This award was based on several measures, including meeting their technology needs, on-time-delivery, ease of doing business, and customer support.

    Fortune Magazine ranks Micron 4th in America's "Most Admired" Semiconductor Companies list
    March 2004 – The Fortune "Most Admired Companies" list (March 8, 2004 issue) is an important benchmark because of the comprehensiveness of the eight reputation categories: innovation, employee talent, use of corporate assets, social responsibility, quality of management, financial soundness, long-term investment, and quality of products/services.

    Wireless Systems Design Magazine "Best Wireless Technology"
    March 2004 - CellularRAM® technology was the recipient of Wireless Systems Design Magazine’s 2004 Industry Award for “Best Wireless Technology.”

    October 2003 - Micron was one of 11 suppliers selected to receive this award out of approximately 100 suppliers overall. The Supplier Excellence Award honors those companies for supplier support, Quality Analysis, pricing and overall relationship.

    Ranked #1 In Semiconductor Industry on Patent Score Card
    May 2003 - Technology Review, published by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), ranked Micron Technology, Inc., number one in the semiconductor industry for the third consecutive year. Companies in key industries are ranked based on technological strength including quality and quantity of patents, scientific papers cited, and the ability to convert leading-edge technology into intellectual property (IP).

    October 2002 - Micron was selected for Meritorious Performance as a production supplier in the twelfth annual Supplier Awards Program. The Supplier Awards honor those companies who make outstanding contributions to Sun's ability to deliver superior quality and value to its customers.

    Solectron Corporation "Preferred Supplier Award"
    June 2002 - Micron was one of seven winners selected for providing Solectron and its customers with a competitive advantage through consistently high performance.

    Maxtor Corporation "Outstanding Supplier 2001"
    March 2002 - Micron was awarded "Outstanding Supplier 2001" in the electronics category—the only supplier in that category to receive this award. Quality, flexibility, pricing, delivery, and ability to grow with Maxtor were cited as keys to winning this award.

    Fujitsu "Distinguished Partner Award"
    January 2002 - This is the second consecutive year that Micron has received this award from Fujitsu. It also marks the first time that any supplier has won this award two times. Micron is honored as an "outstanding partner in development and manufacturing."

    June 2001 - This award is based on customer service, support, and market share.

    Ranked #1 in Semiconductor Industry on Patent Scorecard
    May 2001 - Technology Review Magazine ranked Micron number one in the semiconductor industry based on quality and quantity of patents and other key indicators including scientific papers cited and the ability to convert leading-edge technology into intellectual property.

    Microsoft Key Supplier Award
    April 2001 - Microsoft's Key Supplier Award recognizes Micron as one of a chosen few key suppliers of the Xbox™ game system. Micron will supply DDR (Double Data Rate) SDRAM for Microsoft's Xbox platform.

    Enterasys Networks, Supplier of Excellence Award
    April 2001 - This award recognizes Micron's world-class efforts in quality, product design support, and on-time delivery. Micron was selected for this award out of the top 25 semiconductor suppliers.

    Semico Bellwether Award
    March 2001 - Steve Appleton received Semico's Bellwether Award honoring leaders in the semiconductor industry who have made significant contributions to the advancement of their market sector and to the financial success of their companies.

    Dell Gold Supplier Award
    February 2001 - This award is based on leadership, quality, service, continuity of supply, and technology. Micron is the only memory semiconductor supplier rated this highly by Dell for the year.

    Dataram Outstanding Vendor for 2000
    January 2001 - This Dataram Corporation award is based on customer service, market share, and product quality.

    Distinguished Partner Award, Fujitsu
    January 2001 - Fujitsu presented this award in appreciation of the great contribution Micron has made as an outstanding partner in development and manufacturing.
